The 5th line, The Matriarch (The Mother Bottling), is a special blend of these 4 Casks.
Each presented in a custom presentation box ( a real see it to believe it) celebrating the Black Country and Birmingham region.
Single Malt English Whisky - Bourbon 1/4 Cask - 53.8%vol - 70cl
Barley: Plumage Archer – Yeast: Kveik Hornindal
Re-coopered from a first fill Bourbon ASB to 125L, then disgorged 2 months prior to bottling, re-charred and refilled. This intensifies the influence of the cask, giving more wood notes and a subtle smoke.
Nose – Caramel, Vanilla, Spice, Oak, Oud Wood, smoke
Palate – Caramel and Spice build and then give way to deeper wood tones and a subtle smokiness.
